SkyHi Broadband Privacy Policy

SkyHi Broadband respects the privacy of our customers. We are a local Internet service provider, and we collect and use customer information only as reasonably necessary to provide Internet service, install and maintain equipment, support customers, bill accounts, protect our network, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

SkyHi Broadband does not sell customer personal information. SkyHi Broadband does not sell or monetize customer browsing history. SkyHi Broadband does not share customer personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we may share it, and how customers may contact us about privacy questions.

1. Information We Collect

SkyHi Broadband may collect the following types of information from customers and website visitors.

Account and Contact Information

We may collect customer name, service address, billing address, email address, telephone number, account number, service plan, installation information, and customer communications with SkyHi Broadband.

Billing and Payment Information

We may collect billing records, payment history, invoices, account balance information, and related payment information needed to bill and maintain customer accounts. If payments are processed by a third-party payment processor, that provider may process payment card, ACH, or other payment details as needed to complete the transaction. SkyHi Broadband does not use customer payment information for advertising.

Installation, Equipment, and Support Information

We may collect information about the equipment installed at a customer location, including SkyHi-owned equipment, customer premises equipment, signal quality, radio or device status, service history, trouble tickets, installation notes, maintenance records, and information customers provide when requesting service or support.

Network and Service Information

To provide and maintain Internet service, SkyHi Broadband may collect technical network information such as IP address assignment, service status, equipment performance, signal levels, bandwidth usage, data volume, connection logs, error logs, outage information, security alerts, and other technical information needed to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the network.

SkyHi Broadband does not read, sell, or use the content of customer Internet communications for advertising. We do not sell customer browsing history. We may process technical network information as necessary to route traffic, provide service, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, protect the network, and comply with law.

Website Information

When someone visits SkyHi Broadband’s website, we may collect limited website information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, date and time of visit, referral source, and similar website analytics information. We may use cookies or similar tools to operate the website, understand website traffic, improve the website, and maintain security.

Visitors may control cookies through their browser settings. Some website features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

Children’s Information

SkyHi Broadband does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete the information as soon as reasonably practicable. 2. How We Use Information

SkyHi Broadband may use customer information for the following purposes:

  • To provide Internet service;

  • To install, maintain, repair, upgrade, and support service and equipment;

  • To create, manage, and bill customer accounts;

  • To process payments and maintain payment records;

  • To communicate with customers about service, appointments, outages, billing, support, account matters, policy updates, and service changes;

  • To respond to customer questions, requests, complaints, or support tickets;

  • To monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the SkyHi Broadband network;

  • To prevent fraud, misuse, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, or harm to customers, SkyHi Broadband, or the network;

  • To comply with applicable laws, regulations, subpoenas, court orders, law-enforcement requests, and regulatory reporting obligations;

  • To enforce customer agreements, acceptable use policies, and other legal terms;

  • To maintain business records, tax records, accounting records, and regulatory records.

SkyHi Broadband may send service-related notices by email, telephone, text message, postal mail, or other contact methods provided by the customer. These may include outage notices, appointment confirmations, payment reminders, billing notices, account notices, support communications, and service updates.

SkyHi Broadband may occasionally send customers information about SkyHi Broadband services, upgrades, or local service availability. Customers may opt out of non-essential marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in the message or by contacting us.

3. How We Share Information

SkyHi Broadband does not sell customer personal information.

SkyHi Broadband may share customer information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Service Providers and Vendors

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate our business, such as billing software providers, payment processors, customer-management systems, installation or support vendors, network vendors, email or messaging providers, accountants, attorneys, consultants, and technology providers. These providers may use the information only as needed to provide services to SkyHi Broadband or as otherwise allowed by law.

Legal, Regulatory, and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when we believe disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, law-enforcement request, regulatory request, or other legal process.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, network, customers, employees, contractors, or operations of SkyHi Broadband, or to investigate fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, or violations of our customer agreements or policies.

Business Transfers

If SkyHi Broadband is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, financing, restructuring, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, customer information may be transferred or disclosed as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Aggregated or De-Identified Information

SkyHi Broadband may use or share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify a specific customer, household, person, or device. For example, we may use aggregated network performance information for planning, reporting, or service improvement.

4. What We Do Not Do

SkyHi Broadband does not:

  • Sell customer personal information;

  • Sell customer browsing history;

  • Share customer personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising;

  • Use the content of customer Internet communications for advertising;

  • Operate as a data broker;

  • Knowingly collect personal information from children under 13;

  • Require customers to provide more personal information than is reasonably needed to provide service, bill accounts, support customers, operate the network, and comply with law.

5. Customer Choices and Access

Customers may contact SkyHi Broadband to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain account information. Some information may need to be retained for billing, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, service-history, legal, regulatory, or business-record purposes.

Customers may update account contact information by contacting SkyHi Broadband.

Customers may opt out of non-essential marketing emails by using the unsubscribe instructions in the email or by contacting us. Customers may still receive service-related, billing-related, outage-related, support-related, legal, or account-related communications.

6. California Privacy Notice

SkyHi Broadband provides Internet service to customers in California and respects California privacy rights.

SkyHi Broadband does not sell personal information. SkyHi Broadband does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Depending on applicable law, California residents may have rights to request information about the categories of personal information collected, used, disclosed, or shared by a business; to request access to certain personal information; to request correction of inaccurate information; to request deletion of certain information; and to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

SkyHi Broadband’s collection and use of customer information is primarily for providing Internet service, billing, customer support, network operations, security, legal compliance, and related business purposes.

Please include your name, service address, contact information, and a description of your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.

7. Data Security

SkyHi Broadband uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect customer information. No system, network, transmission, or method of storage is completely secure. Customers should use care when sending sensitive information over the Internet and should use secure websites and encrypted communications where appropriate.

SkyHi Broadband will not ask customers by email or text message to provide sensitive payment information, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, or similar sensitive information. Customers who receive a suspicious message claiming to be from SkyHi Broadband should contact us directly.

8. Remote Support

If SkyHi Broadband provides remote technical support, remote access to a customer device will be used only with the customer’s knowledge and permission for that support session. SkyHi Broadband does not access a customer’s computer or device without the customer’s knowledge and participation.

9. Links to Other Websites

SkyHi Broadband’s website may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy applies only to SkyHi Broadband. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of third-party websites or services.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

SkyHi Broadband may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will post the revised Privacy Policy on our website and update the “Last Updated” date.

If we make a material change to how we collect, use, or share customer personal information, we will provide additional notice as required by applicable law. Notice may include posting a notice on our website, sending an email or other direct notice to customers, or using another reasonable method.

Continued use of SkyHi Broadband service or website after an updated Privacy Policy is posted means the updated Privacy Policy applies going forward, except where additional notice or consent is required by law.
